To summarise Halton Community Transport’s role in the locality, we have identified ten ways in
which we benefit our community:
1. We enable elderly and disabled
individuals to engage in a positive way with their local community by means of safe, affordable and accessible transport.
2. We provide local community groups
with safe, affordable and accessible transport which allows them attend events throughout the country, so that they can develop a variety of skills and bring them into our local community.
3. We are committed to recruiting and
employing local people within our organisation.

4. Our success is reliant on the excellent
job our voluntary workers carry out - and we are committed to increasing the number of volunteers working here.
5. We offer work experience to the long-term unemployed through a partnership with New Deal (Employment Department).
6. We are in partnership with local colleges and secondary schools, offering work experience placements.
7. We provide employment and work
experience placements for people with
disabilities.

8. We are committed to increasing
transport provision for individuals with reduced mobility.
9. We offer training opportunities to
the local community.
10. We are committed to attracting and developing funding streams necessary to develop this growing social enterprise.
